Boeing IIT National Aeromodelling Competition-Madras

We are thrilled to announce that two outstanding teams from AeroClub Nitte have achieved remarkable success at the Boeing National Aeromodelling (South Zone) Competition, held at IIT Madras on 25th–26th January 2025. With an impressive 1st and 2nd place finish, this achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of every team member. Bharath Mobility Expo - Bharath Mandapam, New Delhi

AeroClub Nitte is thrilled to have showcased its award-winning SAE DDC and SAE ADDC models at the prestigious Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, held in Delhi from 17th to 22nd January 2025. With an All India Rank 1, this milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to innovation, excellence, and the future of mobility. Our participation in this landmark event underscores the dedication, passion, and hard work of our team in advancing cutting-edge technology and shaping the future of transportation in India!

SAE DDC 2024

AIR 1

The Aero Club Nitte team proudly clinched 1st place in the overall category at the prestigious SAE DDC 2024, outperforming 54 formidable teams! Held from August 29th to 31st at SRM University, Chennai, this renowned competition, organized by SAE India Southern Section, tested our skills across various aeronautics and engineering disciplines. We set a remarkable record in the flying round, successfully assembling an aircraft within a constrained timeframe and showcasing its superior performance with a payload.

SAE Regular

We are thrilled to announce the successful debut of AeroClub Nitte in the Regular Class category at the SAE DDC 2025 in Chennai. In our very first entry into this competitive category, the team showcased a commendable performance by securing Second Place in the Technical Design Report. The team further proved their expertise by delivering high-quality Technical Presentations and advanced CFD Analysis. This achievement marks a significant step forward for the club as we expand our engineering capabilities into new and challenging categories.

SAE ADDC 2025

We are thrilled to announce that AeroClub NITTE achieved an outstanding performance at the SAE Autonomous Drone Development Challenge 2025, held at KCG College of Technology, Chennai, from April 3rd to 5th, 2025. The team secured an impressive All India Rank 2, showcasing mastery in autonomous flight systems and technical precision. Further highlighting our innovative spirit, we were honored with the Third Prize in the Unique Technology Award, recognizing our groundbreaking solutions in autonomous systems. These remarkable achievements reflect the team’s technical excellence, creativity, and relentless dedication to shaping the future of drone technology.

Boeing Finals

We are thrilled to announce that AeroClub Nitte achieved an outstanding performance at the 10th Edition Boeing National Aeromodelling, held at RV College on August 19th, 2025. Our team secured All India Rank 1 (AIR-1), marking a significant milestone in our competitive journey. This achievement stands as a testament to our team's commitment to excellence and innovation in aeromodelling

Wright Flight 2025

Wright Flight 2025, held at NITK Surathkal on September 27–28, featured strong participation from AeroClub Nitte. The competition included obstacle and payload rounds, testing precision, control, and technical expertise.Demonstrating exceptional skill and resilience throughout the event, AeroClub Nitte secured 2nd and 3rd places. The performance highlighted technical capability and disciplined execution, making the event a valuable learning experience.

SKY DRIVE, Sahyadri

We are thrilled to share that Aero Club Nitte, with Team Bhairava and Team Thandava, secured First and Second Place at the Skydive Aeromodelling Competition 2025, held during Aerophilia at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management on 6th–7th November 2025. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of every team member. From precise maneuvers to successful execution, every effort has contributed to this incredible milestone

Flight Fury-SJEC

Flight Fury 2025, held on November 13 at St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), featured competitive aeromodelling rounds that tested precision flying, payload handling, stability, and overall flight performance. The event brought together skilled participants under a structured technical evaluation format. AeroClub Nitte delivered an exceptional performance, securing 1st and 2nd places through consistent and strong technical design. The competition highlighted engineering accuracy, strategic planning, and disciplined preparation.This performance reflects continued excellence in aeromodelling and competitive flying events

CLASS OF 2024

Wright Flight

Wright Flight 2024, held on October 17-18 at NIT Karnataka as part of ENGINEER’24, featured five teams from Aeroclub Nitte. Teams competed in obstacle and payload rounds, showcasing exceptional skill and resilience. Team Ghatotkach won 1st place with flawless payload dropping, while Team Gravity Defiers secured 2nd place. All teams demonstrated technical expertise and teamwork, making the event a great learning experience.

Aerodash- VIT,Vellore

AIR 1

Remarkable event is the 1st place victory at the VIT Aero Dash 2024, held on August 8th and 9th in Vellore, and organized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Competing against some of the best teams, our success was driven by innovative designs, technical precision, and exceptional flight performance. The competition required teams to optimize aircraft for maximum payloads while adhering to strict guidelines on launch accuracy and timing. The outstanding efforts in both the technical presentation and flight rounds showcased their dedication to innovation and engineering excellence. This achievement is ongoing commitment to advancing aviation technology through collaboration and precision.

AeroClub Nitte is here with one more announcement about winning 1st place at the SAE Drone Development Competition 2024, held at KCG Tech Engineering College, Chennai, on July 19th and 20th. Competing against 47 teams, we excelled across three rigorous rounds: technical inspection, flight performance, and presentation.

Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024- Bharath Mandapam , New Dehli

We are delighted to share that our SAE AIR 1-winning team had the incredible opportunity to showcase their winning model and expertise at the prestigious Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, held in New Delhi from 1st to 3rd February 2024. Representing AeroClub Nitte with immense pride, NSK Abhiram from the Electronics & Communication Department and Navraj D from the Computer Science Department are all set to redefine excellence in the thrilling world of RC planes. Their dedication and expertise continue to make a lasting impact on the global stage of mobility and automotive innovation!

Wright Flight

In the challenging domain of the Wright Flight Technical Aeromodelling and Flying Competition at NITK Surathkal, our team showcased remarkable precision in executing maneuvers and aerial stunts. Overcoming obstacles with finesse, we are thrilled to announce our team's triumph in securing the prestigious Rank 1 in the event. This noteworthy accomplishment not only highlights our technical prowess but also emphasizes our unwavering commitment to excellence in aeromodelling. It is a source of immense pride for the entire team, symbolizing our dedication and achievements in this dynamic field.

SAE DDC 2023

AIR 1

Collaboratively with a committed team of 10 individuals across interdisciplinary courses and with the consistent support of the team, we have secured rank 1, claiming the top position in a prestigious SAE drone design competition. Our outstanding aircraft stood out as the exclusive contender capable of carrying a payload exceeding 2 kg. Notably, We take immense pride in being the sole female pilot to achieve this remarkable feat in the competition..

Boeing IIT National Aeromodelling Competition

The year 2022-2023 stands as a momentous chapter for the Aeroclub, embodying our steadfast commitment encapsulated in the mantra, "if it's about skies, then it's always about us." 5 Team have participated in zonals held at multiple IIT's , Notably, all five of our teams advanced to the finals .

Cognizance, IIT Roorkee

Two of our teams participated in the technical festival of IIT Roorkee, showcasing their skills in the Aeromodelling and Multirotor competitions named Flight Fury and AeroHelix, respectively. Both teams demonstrated outstanding capabilities, securing notable positions in their respective events. This accomplishment adds another feather to the cap of our club, further glorifying our commitment to excellence in aviation and aeromodelling.

SAE Aerodesign Challenge

Enduring 10 months of unwavering commitment during the challenges posed by the COVID times, our team of 7 students from diverse interdisciplinary branches, supported by dedicated mentors, participated in the SAE Aerodesign Challenge post-pandemic. The culmination of our relentless effort resulted in securing AIR 2 in the fiercely competitive SAE Aerodesign Challenge South Zone. This achievement serves as a testament to the Aeroclub's core values, highlighting that, irrespective of the situation, our commitment to continuous effort and discipline remains unwavering.

Aerophilia

This is a distinguished National-level Techno-Cultural fest held at Sahyadri College, serves as a platform for students aspiring to achieve the extraordinary. The event, featuring multiple maneuvers and challenges, witnessed our team's exceptional skills, overcoming obstacles and securing 2nd and 3rd places in the competition. CA formidable team comprising multidisciplinary undergraduate engineering students, totaling 7 members, supported by the collaborative efforts of other teams working behind the scenes and consistent mentorship, achieved a remarkable feat. In their maiden attempt, they secured AIR 5 and Karnataka State Rank 2 in the highly competitive SAE India Aerodesign Challenge. This impressive accomplishment not only reflects the team's dedication and expertise but also demonstrates the power of collaboration and mentorship in achieving success in challenging competitions.
